The Blue Eye is a natural spring and karst hole where ice-cold water bubbles up from a depth of at least 50 meters, creating a vivid sapphire-and-emerald pool that perfectly resembles a human eye. It is the primary source of the Bistricë River and one of the most visited natural landmarks in Southern Albania

Since the area was renovated, you can no longer drive all the way to the spring. You must park at the entrance (3€ for 3 hours) and walk about 2km (20–30 minutes) along a paved but unshaded boulevard. If you don't want to walk in the heat, you can rent an electric scooter (~€5/hour) or take the tourist train (~€3 one-way). These scooters can go fast and people regularly fall, so don't go too crazy
Arrive at 8:00 AM sharp. By 10:30 AM, buses from Saranda and Ksamil arrive, and the area becomes a circus. Recent renovations have turned a once-wild hidden gem into a highly commercialized "nature park"
