Tragagia Beach is a picturesque sandy beach with crystal-clear turquoise waters, located in the Old town of Monterosso. It offers a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for sunbathing and swimming in the Ligurian Sea
Insider Tips
Tragagia Beach is not the main beach of Monterosso but a smaller one located on the old town side. It begins near the pedestrian tunnel linking old and new Monterosso and extends to the start of the Monterosso-Vernazza walking trailโ. It is a good alternative when Fegina beach gets too crowded
Most of the beach is occupied by the beach club, Bar Bagni Alga, where you can rent deckchairs and umbrellas. There are two free sections โ a smaller area directly below the pedestrian tunnel and a larger, nicer free area on the other side of the umbrellas
Did you know?
Tragagia Beach holds a unique place in history as it was once the center of a thriving olive oil trade during the Middle Ages. The beach's proximity to ancient olive groves and its secluded location made it an ideal, though now almost forgotten, hub for this essential Mediterranean commerce.
