About
Bushy Park is London’s second-largest royal park, located near Hampton Court Palace and is famous for its tranquil woodlands, lakes, and herds of free-roaming deer
Insider Tips
One of the highlights of Bushy Park is its resident herds of deer. These majestic animals roam freely, offering visitors the chance to observe wildlife up close. It’s also a great place for birdwatching, with several species of waterfowl and woodland birds inhabiting the area. Remember to keep a safe distance from the deer, especially during the rutting season (autumn), as they can be unpredictable and potentially aggressive
The park is steeped in history, with landmarks like the Diana Fountain, a stunning 17th-century bronze statue and fountain, commissioned by King Charles I. There’s also the Chestnut Avenue, a grand, tree-lined boulevard designed by Sir Christopher Wren

Each year, on the Sunday closest to 11th May, takes place the celebration of the blossom on the magnificent horse chestnut trees in the park. It includes a parade, local stalls, fairground rides, living history displays, music and plenty of refreshments!
