About
The Museum of Brands is a quirky, nostalgia-filled museum that showcases over 150 years of consumer culture through packaging, advertisements, and branding
Insider Tips
One of the most exciting aspects of the Museum of Brands is its Time Tunnel, which takes visitors through decades of packaging, advertising, and products from the Victorian era to the present day. This isn’t your typical museum. The displays are colorful, lively, and sometimes quirky, offering an engaging experience that feels more like a playful exploration of history than a formal educational visit
The Museum of Brands is not as large as some of London’s other museums, so it’s more of a quick visit than an all-day destination. You’ll probably spend 1 to 2 hours here, depending on how deep you dive into each exhibit. It's perfect to complete a visit to the Portobello Road Market and the Notting Hill area!

The museum was founded by Robert Opie, a lifelong collector of packaging and advertising. His collection, which started with a Munchies wrapper in 1963, has since grown into one of the world’s largest collections of consumer culture memorabilia
