Full description
Step into the heart of Mallorcan tradition with a guided visit to an olive estate with over 700 years of history. Once home to Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria, this restored estate is now a thriving model of sustainable and organic agriculture.
Your tour begins with a gentle stroll through the centuries-old olive terraces, nestled against the Tramuntana’s dramatic backdrop. Along the way, you'll learn how ancient agricultural techniques have been revived using modern organic principles to produce some of Mallorca's most acclaimed olive oils.
As you walk among olive trees and dry-stone walls, your guide will share stories about the social, environmental, and even spiritual significance of olive oil in Mediterranean culture. You’ll see firsthand how this revered oil is harvested and processed, from tree to bottle.
The experience ends with a relaxed tasting under the olive trees. Sample Son Moragues' organic extra virgin olive oil, accompanied by rustic country bread, local cheese, and their homemade jams and jellies — all crafted just meters from where you sit. It’s a perfect blend of flavor, history, and peaceful nature.

Wonderful olive oil tasting in Valldemosa. Very knowledgeable and friendly guide. The olive oil was accompanied by a beautiful table of local produce to enjoy in the garden. Highly recommended tour.

We had a our best olive oil tour and tasting with Selina today. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Son Moragues and the ancient olive oil industry in general. Selina also taught us how to taste olive oil for ourselves to judge the anti-oxidant levels without having to rely on the bland "extra virgin" labeling we get in the U.S. Touring Son Moragues with Selina was like getting in a time machine and going back 1,000 years. She showed us thousand year old walls and olive trees that saw those walls getting built by the Moors. My family has been on other, wonderful olive oil tours and tastings, but this was by the far the best. Highly recommended.

A must do when in Mallorca. Such a great experience, the visit was the perfect length and the tasting was fantastic, we loved learning how to choose a good olive oil and getting to try different types along with some jams, cheese and bread. Barbara was really nice and passionate, it made the experience even better!
