Full description
Step aboard a modern speedboat and experience the dramatic coastal beauty of Boka Bay on this 4-hour small-group adventure. Departing from Kotor, you'll cruise along the stunning Montenegrin coast, guided by your local skipper who’ll share historical insights and fun stories throughout the trip.
Your first stop is the iconic Blue Cave, a natural wonder known for its glowing turquoise water. Dive in for a swim or simply admire the surreal play of light on the stone walls.
Next, make a short stop at Mamula Island, once a notorious 19th-century prison used during both World Wars. Continue past Yugoslav-era submarine tunnels, carved into the cliffs to conceal and repair military submarines during the Cold War.
The journey continues to Our Lady of the Rocks, a man-made islet near Perast with a baroque church built by sailors in the 15th century. Hear the legend of the island, and enjoy sweeping views of Perast and its 18th-century bell tower.
As you cruise back, enjoy music on board, pass the abandoned village of Old Stoliv, the narrow Verige Strait, and the marinas of Tivat and Herceg Novi. Whether you’re looking for a refreshing swim, coastal history, or postcard-worthy views, this tour delivers it all in just four hours!
If a 4-hour feels too long, you can also opt for a shorter 2-hour tour at sunset stopping at Our Lady of the Rocks and the village of Perast. Admiring the sun setting in the bay is pure magic!
Meeting point
Park Slobode near the waterfront in Kotor
Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the departing time. If you're driving, traffic in Kotor in summer will likely slow you down. Make sure you're leaving well in advance

Things to know
Important information
- You have the option to book the boat privately at check-out
- Important: this tour was previously 3 hours long. However, following regulatory changes introduced in March 2026, speed limits for all speedboats in the Bay of Kotor have been reduced from 20–25 knots to 16–18 knots, making it no longer possible to complete the full itinerary within that time. The tour has therefore been extended to 4 hours, allowing for longer, more relaxed stops at Our Lady of the Rocks and the Blue Cave for swimming. Any operator still advertising this itinerary in 3 hours will inevitably have to skip stops or rush through them and simply will not be able to deliver what they promise.
- If a 4-hour tour feels a bit too long, you can opt for a shorter 2-hour tour stopping at Our Lady of the Rocks and the village of Perast at sunset (available at check-out)
Includes
- Speedboat tour with professional skipper-guide
- Access fee to Our Lady of the Rocks island (5€)
- Snorkeling masks and lifejackets

- Pick-up from hotel (unless booked as private tour)
What to bring

This boat ride is worth it! So fun boating around the bay. And even though the weather was in October, it was still perfect to ride and swim. We stopped in a few places and even at the end, we got to stop at Perast for 30 mins (no one was in a rush). That was the perfect ending. Aleksa is the perfect host! Absolutely would recommend 🥳

The tour was great! Our guide Aleksa was really friendly, explained a lot about the area and helped everyone on and off the boat whenever we stopped. The highlight was seeing the blue cave and swimming around the area!

We did the 9 a.m. boat tour in Kotor and it was just perfect. The ride took us through the submarine tunnels, the Blue Cave, the Lady of the Rocks, and all around the the views were gorgeous the whole way. My opinion, the best time to do the store was 9 AM exactly like we did it because around 12 when we were about to finish the door and started getting very hot so I think any later would be a little bit too hot for us personally (September) Our guide Aleksa, really made the trip. He was super friendly, told the stories interest, and shared everything from his own perspective as a local. It felt genuine, and he made sure everyone was following along and enjoying. Honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. Such a great way to see Kotor Bay highly recommend!
