Full description
Nevidio Canyon, meaning “Unseen Canyon,” is one of Montenegro’s best-kept secrets and the last canyon to be discovered in Europe, only in 1965. Hidden in the southern slopes of Durmitor National Park, this narrow, wild gorge offers the ultimate setting for an adrenaline-fueled adventure.
After pickup from your accommodation in Žabljak, you’ll drive to the village of Poscenje, where your canyoning journey begins. Suit up in professional canyoning gear (5mm wetsuit, harness, helmet, and boots) and receive a safety briefing from your certified guide.
Over the next 2.5 to 3 hours, you'll make your way through towering cliffs, swim in emerald pools, climb waterfalls, and take on up to 10 optional jumps for the truly daring. The most challenging section includes a narrow path just 25 cm wide, an exhilarating squeeze through rock and river. But don’t worry, your experienced guide will lead you step by step, offering alternate paths if you want to skip the jumps.
The canyon may be wild, but you're in safe hands. Our guides are certified members of the Mountain Rescue Service of Montenegro and know every twist and turn of Durmitor like the back of their hand.
After exiting the canyon and hiking back to the starting point (around 1 hour, with 45 minutes uphill), you’ll enjoy a hearty lunch at a national restaurant, where photos and stories from the day are shared before returning to Žabljak.

Hi, I’m Boris, your canyon guide and adventure addict! I’ve spent my life exploring every trail, cliff, and current in Durmitor. As a certified member of the Mountain Rescue Service of Montenegro, safety is my top priority, but that doesn’t mean we won’t have a blast along the way! I love helping people discover the power and beauty of this canyon. You’ll leave Nevidio with a huge smile and a story you’ll tell for years.

Chris
The guides were fantastic, direct and confidence inspiring The route was fun, exciting, not overly challenging but very scenic and a good time There was a little bit of an uphill hike at the end so be prepared for that but guides gave us water and moved at the slowest persons pace Lunch was at a lovely local restaurant in the hills Overall would definitely recommend this activity and this company if you’re ever in the area

Very nice and adventurous activity during our holidays. Nice guides, always helping, pictures and videos included, lunch after canyoning. You need to be in good shape and not afraid of heights.

Me and my brother had an amazing amazing time doing the nevidio canyoning. Our guides were incredible at making us feel safe and also encouraging us to do the big jumps. Definitely have a big breakfast before you go! It's tiring!!!
Lorin Semela
The canyon is stunning, and the guides were well-prepared and focused on safety during the canyoning, providing proper equipment and clear instructions. However, the experience started off on an unprofessional note. The guides asked in front of everyone whether anyone had a medical condition, followed by rushing us to sign a form (presumably a liability waiver) without giving us the time to read it. Both of these steps could have easily been handled in advance during registration. Beyond that, the experience lacked personal engagement. There were no jokes, no information about the area, and no check-ins to see how guests were doing. It felt like we were being funneled through. The tour was also more demanding than advertised. The duration of two to three hours felt quite long, especially with the very cold water and a large group of 17 people, including children. With a smaller group, we could have moved more efficiently, and the cold would have been less of an issue. In the second half we were constantly shivering, desperate for some sunlight. The price of 130 euros, including a tasty lunch at a good restaurant, is reasonable for a full-day activity. Overall, it was a beautiful experience in a wild canyon. One star is lost for the unprofessional start and lack of engagement, and another for the large group size, which led to slower movement and discomfort from the cold. We truly hope that the team at Durmitor Adventure can fix those issues.

Amazing adventure, the nature is unseen and the guides are very professional. All of the jumps are very safe! The neopreen suits project wel against the very cold water. A canyoning trip you have to do! Oh and don’t forget ro being your good condition for the uphill path after the canyoning, but a great reward awaits at the restaurant where a very nice dinner was served.
