Full description
Nevidio Canyon, meaning “Unseen Canyon,” is one of Montenegro’s best-kept secrets and the last canyon to be discovered in Europe, only in 1965. Hidden in the southern slopes of Durmitor National Park, this narrow, wild gorge offers the ultimate setting for an adrenaline-fueled adventure.
After pickup from your accommodation in Žabljak, you’ll drive to the village of Poscenje, where your canyoning journey begins. Suit up in professional canyoning gear (5mm wetsuit, harness, helmet, and boots) and receive a safety briefing from your certified guide.
Over the next 2.5 to 3 hours, you'll make your way through towering cliffs, swim in emerald pools, climb waterfalls, and take on up to 10 optional jumps for the truly daring. The most challenging section includes a narrow path just 25 cm wide, an exhilarating squeeze through rock and river. But don’t worry, your experienced guide will lead you step by step, offering alternate paths if you want to skip the jumps.
The canyon may be wild, but you're in safe hands. Our guides are certified members of the Mountain Rescue Service of Montenegro and know every twist and turn of Durmitor like the back of their hand.
After exiting the canyon and hiking back to the starting point (around 1 hour, with 45 minutes uphill), you’ll enjoy a hearty lunch at a national restaurant, where photos and stories from the day are shared before returning to Žabljak.
Important: From May to June, the water level in Nevidio canyon makes it too dangerous for canyoning. The guides will guide you through the Grabovica canyon instead, an equally beautiful and exciting canyon located near Nevidio (both canyons are connected). From July, Grabovica dries out and the conditions in Nevidio become ideal for canyoning
Meeting point
Center of Žabljak
(possibility for pickup at your accommodation within Žabljak area)
(Exact location details will be provided after booking)

We had such a great time canyoning with the team! The whole experience was a lot of fun, the tour guides were fantastic and supported us every step of the way, which made it enjoyable and safe. After the adventure, we had a delicious lunch in a nearby cafe, which was the perfect way to end the day. We truly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend this experience!

The canyoning was such a great experience I would highly recommend! They give you all the equipment (neoprene suit/helmet) and take you down a beautiful canyon for ~2hrs. There are many slides and jump in points which was probs my fav bit! The guides are excellent, seemingly knowing every rock to ensure safety. They also take you for a lovely lunch once you have hiked back up the hill.

We had a fantastic time ! It was our first canyoning trip, and everything was great: clear explanations, quality guidance, stunning views, and a delicious meal at the restaurant. We highly recommend this experience!

An absolutely brilliant canyoning experience with great guides. Stunning place and loads of fun. I’d recommend having a big breakfast before hand as a lot of energy is required, not just for the canyoning but also the walk at the end for your lunch! It’s pretty long and tiring.
Louis
Top experience! We did the Nevidio Canyoning and even in August the water level is very good. Jumps, slides and discovery of the Canyon make this activity an unforgettable moment. Friendly and safe guides and great photos to boot. Very sporty at the end to close on a high note.
