Welcome to what many call Montenegro’s most adrenaline-filled canyoning tour. Medureč Canyon, located between Ulcinj and Bar, carves its way through Rumija Mountain, creating a dramatic terrain of narrow cliffs, cascading water, and sheer drops.
Your experience begins at the canyon entrance, where you’ll suit up with a neoprene wetsuit, helmet, and rappelling gear. After a safety briefing, you’ll step into the wild and descend into a world few get to see: an epic natural course formed by the power of the Medureč River.

As certified ICOPRO guides, safety is always our priority but we’ll also make sure you’re having a blast! Whether it’s your first canyoning adventure or your tenth, we’ll guide you step by step, help you challenge yourself, and show you a side of Montenegro most visitors never get to see!
Know before you go
- You’ll need good physical condition for this activity. No canyoning experience is required
- Do not wear sandals, flip-flops, or indoor shoes
- Tour involves hiking over rocky terrain and through water. Bring your own suitable sneakers for rocky terrain and water
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

What to bring
- Comfortable outdoor shoes that can get wet (ideally outdoor running shoes) - no sandals or open-toed shoes
- Quick-dry clothing or layers you don’t mind getting wet
- Change of clothes for after the tour

Meet at INA gas station near Bar. From there, you’ll check in with your guide and drive to the canyon entrance. Arrive with your own vehicle if possible. If not, contact us in advance to discuss transfer options.
