Step into the underground world of Lipa Cave, one of Montenegro’s most memorable natural attractions, on a guided group tour designed to make exploring easy, comfortable, and rewarding. This experience begins before you even enter the cave, with a fun road-train ride from the parking area to the entrance.
Once you arrive, follow your guide into the cave and leave the outside world behind. The air turns fresh and cool, the light softens, and the rocky interior reveals a dramatic setting shaped over centuries by water and stone. As you walk through the main cave corridor and selected halls, you’ll encounter a striking variety of karst formations, textures, and natural details that make every turn feel different from the last.
Along the way, your guide brings the cave to life with stories about its geological features and its place in Montenegrin history. You won’t just be looking at rocks, you’ll be understanding how this underground environment formed, why it impressed generations of visitors, and what makes it such an important natural monument today.
This tour lasts around 60 minutes in total, including the train ride to and from the cave entrance, making it an excellent choice for travelers who want a meaningful nature experience without taking up the entire day. It is especially appealing on warm days, when the cave’s cool temperature offers a welcome contrast to the heat outside. Expect a tour that feels equal parts scenic, educational, and refreshingly different.

It's not the prettiest cave (compared to other similar caves), but it's definitely a nice experience. Driving to the cave is challenging dur to the very narrow road. The tour started on time. From the parking lot to the cave you ride in a small tram. Then the guide (very nice and professional) starts the tour inside the cave. It's a short walk to the end of the accessible part of the cave. The entire tour is around an hour.

This was a great activity to do on a rainy day outside. We had a really approachable, informative and funny guide. It's an awesome visit with incredible cave features. I'm not sure that all the visitors could follow, though.

Damian was a great guide, he told us a lot of interesting information and could answer every question in detail. 10/10 would recommend, amazing experience

The tour was amazing. Our guide was very patient and friendly and you can understand his English. The cave itself was beautiful. Everywhere you go you see all kinds of shapes and formations created by the running water and the minerals in the cave. It’s like visiting a natural art exhibition. I am looking forward to what new formations will form in twenty years.

It's not a huge cave, but it has a reasonable size, and a good number of formations. Very interesting, worth the visit.
