Join a unique lake adventure, starting from the charming village of Vranjina, where you’ll board a traditional Montenegrin wooden fishing boat. I will share fascinating insights about Skadar Lake’s wildlife, fishing culture, and hidden natural wonders.
As you drift across the tranquil waters, you’ll pass through scenic river channels, reed-filled wetlands, and untouched fishing trails, places only accessible by a boat like this. Along the way, we’ll stop at remote lake beaches where you can swim, sunbathe, or simply soak in the beauty of nature.
The tour also includes visits to islands and historic landmarks, including Lesendro Fortress and the river mouth where the lake meets the freshwater streams. Along the journey, you’ll encounter water lilies, giant willows, rare bird species, and other unique flora and fauna.
For those who want to experience local fishing, fishing rods are available onboard. If requested, I can offer a wild fish dinner at the end of the tour in my home, with freshly caught lake fish, traditional sides, and local drinks (extra 15€/person paid on site, request is available at checkout).

I am Dražen and I am hosting this experience for years, together with my parents, mom Sofia (she is a great cook) and dad Dragan (experienced fisherman and skipper). I grew up in Vranjina village in grandfathers old house. We use traditional fishing boat for fishing and I came to an idea to do lake trips on it because it is unique and reminds me on gondolas in Venice. Also, nickname for my village is “Little Venice” 😊 We will give our best to show you warm welcome and hospitality that people from Montenegro are known for, lake beauties and village cuisine.

The two-hour tour of Lake Skadar was beautiful! Our captain was truly skilled, professional, and kind. He told us about the history of the lake, his community, and the wildlife. We sailed in a small, authentic boat used by fishermen.

Great sunset tour on the lake, with a beautiful spot for swimming and a very good dinner at the fisherman’s house. A very friendly, authentic and local experience. Highly recommended! Thank you Drazen!😉

It was one of those moments that will stay with you for a long time. If you're looking for a true connection with nature, away from the crowds and noise, this intimate cruise on a traditional boat is something special. The lake is enchantingly peaceful, and the views of the mountains, islands, and natural wonders are simply stunning. There's something magical about this place. A huge thank you to Drazen, who passionately talks about the lake and its inhabitants. He does so with sensitivity – unobtrusively, leaving space to listen to the silence and the sounds of nature, which play a central role here. Another unforgettable experience was swimming on a secluded beach, where you could feel like you were on your own private piece of paradise. The real icing on the cake was the dinner prepared by Drazen's mother. A platter of fresh fish caught that day by Drazen and his dad, a salad of tomatoes and cucumbers that were still growing in the garden that morning, homemade potato salad, fresh bread, and a glass of white wine – everything was delicious and prepared with love. This isn't your average cruise. It's an authentic experience of Montenegro, its nature, hospitality, and flavors. No rush. Truly. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

The perfect way to experience the lake, on a traditional fishing boat. Highly recommend this way of seeing the lake over a bigger and fully packed tour boat. Drazen was a great and very friendly host, and the dinner his mom cooked was absolutely incredible.
