About
Grlja Canyon, located near the town of Plav, is a stunning natural feature known for its dramatic cliffs, clear waters, waterfall and unique geological formations
Insider Tips
The start of the canyon is marked by the Grlja waterfall, in the village of Vusanje, right before you enter Ropojana Valley. You will enter a large open field where you can park your car. From there, simply follow the sound of rushing water to reach the waterfall. The water plunges ~12m into a deep canyon, then merges with the flow from Ali Pasha’s Spring before continuing into Lake Plav
The waterfall is powered by water from Oko Skakavice or "The Eye of the Grasshopper", a stunning blue and green spring water body. The water of this pond is crystal clear and ice cold. You can reach it by car, though the road is an unpaved dirt road
