The cave has approximately 2.5 km of illuminated passages and halls filled with impressive stalactites, stalagmites, flowstones, and natural curtains. Some passages lead to vast galleries featuring underground springs and lakes. The cave maintains a fairly chilly temperature, so it’s advisable to bring an extra layer of clothing
The caves are only accessible with a guide and are open for tours from April to November, with extended hours from May to October

The first written account of Lipa Cave was by English traveler and archaeologist Austen Henry Layard in 1839. Later explorations in the late 19th century by renowned speleologist Édouard-Alfred Martel expanded the known sections of the cave
