The lake is fullest and most beautiful in the spring when the glaciers are melting. Note that it is a periodical lake, meaning its water level varies. In late summer, the lake can disappear, leaving a green grassy meadow in its place
Sušica Canyon, connected with the lake, offers beautiful trekking opportunities and access to Skakala waterfalls (might not flow in summer)
