Discover the rich olive oil heritage of Montenegro on a guided visit to a working olive mill near Kotor. Your experience begins with a warm welcome from Zoran, your host and the third generation of his family to run the mill. He’ll greet you with a glass of rakiya, a traditional Montenegrin brandy, before leading you on a tour through the old and new parts of the estate.
Learn about the evolution of olive oil production,, from century-old stone presses to today’s stainless steel techniques—and hear stories of how the family has passed down their craft for generations. Zoran explains what makes different olive oils unique, how to taste them properly, and what to look for in quality oil.
You’ll watch a short 15min film about the oil-making process (or witness the equipment at work during olive season in October/November), then enjoy a delicious tasting. Sample several of the estate’s finest olive oils, served with prosciutto, local cheeses, fresh olives, and a glass of wine. It’s a flavor-packed way to connect with Montenegro’s agricultural roots and culinary culture.
After the tasting, you can browse the small shop with olive oils, local spirits, and soaps.

Hi, I’m Zoran, your guide and host at our family-run olive mill. I’m the third generation to work this land and continue our passion for olive oil making. I love welcoming guests and sharing the story of how our family built everything you’ll see today: stone by stone, tree by tree. My favorite part of this experience is teaching people how to taste olive oil like a pro, and seeing the surprise on their face when they try the real thing 😊

Lovely little place!! The host explained about the mill that his grandfather built, and answered all of our questions (in English). The oil tasting was really good! Also, the guy fosters some really cute cats! Best to book in advance

Such a nice family owned Olive Mill. The Host (Zoran) was very friendly and explained everything in great detail. We did the tasting experience. We tasted the olive oil, 3 different kinds of olives, two local cheeses, prosciutto, got some bread, wine and water. It was a good thing we didn’t eat breakfast before, we could barely finish. Anyways, highly recommended!

We visited the olive mill today for the 1,5 hour tour including a tasting of wine, cheese, olives, bread and olive oil. It was great! It was really interesting to hear about the history of the mill and the proces of making olive oil today and in the past. Highly recommend, and Zoran was a very nice host. Thanks! PS: I loved the cats

We had such a wonderful tour at the olive mill. The host made it really engaging, and we got to taste authentic olive oil — absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Plus, there were adorable cats around the farm that made the visit even cooler 🐾. Highly recommend!

Was such a lovely tour and experience. Located between Kotor and Tivat, my partner and I stopped at this olive mill on the day of our flight from Tivat. This was the perfect thing to do and way to end the trip. We were the only two on the tour and the owner was so so soooo friendly and welcoming. It felt like home. His family has been producing olive oil for generations. We learned so much from the production, various methods and techniques, and different types of olives. The owner prepared a wonderful lunch of cheese, prosciutto, bread, wine, and of course lots of freshly pressed olive oil. It was amazing. Really couldn’t recommend it more if you’re visiting Montenegro! 😊
