Highlights in the area include the Church of Theth, the Lock-In Tower, the Blue Eye of Kapre and the 30m-high Grunas Waterfall

Theth is a remote, stone-built village nestled deep within the Albanian Alps (the "Accursed Mountains"), serving as the dramatic heart of northern Albania's hiking culture and traditional Highland life. It is the primary gateway for the famous cross-mountain trek to Valbona.
Theth was founded by families fleeing the Ottoman Empire who sought to preserve their Catholic faith in the inaccessible mountains; for centuries, they lived by the Kanun, a strict code of oral law that governed everything from guest hospitality to the infamous "blood feuds" that required the Lock-in Tower.
